Death

Priyash Soreng
The new dawn still unborn!

Death isn’t the end, but the beginning of people’s remembrance

To comfort souls, the sky above us pours down rain

Not a dead-end, but a path to a new life’s entrance

Full of joy and hope; no more grief or pain

My rotting body will dissolve, and slowly cease to exist

As the hands of the Earth molds it like clay

The time has come; there is no reason to resist

The way I came, likewise, needs to fade away

But the eyes are weeping, since it’s the time of sorrow

Like it was and it is – the journey of being-solo

Let my memory grow as a flower will grow tomorrow

Spread my ashes or bury my body, just let go

Let the flower of my memory grow its roots deep

A final good-bye to thee….before I finally sleep
